SYR film WORKSHOP 2 on 6th February 2011(script writing and actors selection)

‘Life in the UK’ an educational film project

This is to confirm and invite all the volunteers, members, officers of SYR and to the interested volunteers wish to work in film making that SYR docu-drama film workshop 2 (script writing and artist selection) is on 6 February. Full details are below:

Event: Film workshop 2 (script writing and artist selection)
Date: Sunday, 6th February 2011
Time: 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Venue: London St. Andrews College Hall, Unit 2.02, 65-75 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1DU.

 

Please note that:
1. all the attending volunteers should allow 15 minutes before starting the event for registration.
2. This is not a public event and only registered volunteers and officers of SYR (specially volunteers are/will be working in the project Life in the UK) are invited.

Recruiting Volunteers Now:

SYR are producing an educational documentary film 'Life in the UK' (funded by Big lottery) on the topic ‘forced marriages’, which aims to educate people and raise awareness about FM issues. The film will be produced as DVD, will be available free to view online, and might also be shown on some TV channels.

For the purposes of the film, we are in search of some volunteers from London, Luton, Aylesbury and Bedford area. Volunteers will have opportunity to work with expert professionals and some stars.

We are looking for:

· Actors/actress’s

· Arts, stage designers, designers, costume designers

· Make-up artists, hair dressers

· Media students, photography, lighting etc

· Anyone that can help in the film production.

Am I the right sort of person?

If you feel passionate about people’s rights and the consequences of forced marriages then this is for you. We will provide you with training to enable you carry out your role.

What commitment is needed?

We will fit in around your personal commitments and find a role to suit you in front of the camera or behind the camera such as acting, admin, campaigning, event planning or even Facebook campaign. 

How do I join?

Interested individual please email SYR to opportunity@saveyourrights.org or simply long into SYR website and register yourself ASAP (preferably by 5 February 11).
